November 1979 to May 2000 retired from the Las Cruces Police Department. Successfully completed academy, and was awarded Police Officer Certificate on January 1980. Was assigned to the Patrol Division from January 1980 to October of 1985. In October of 1985, transferred to the Las Cruces Police Departments Criminal Investigations Division assigned as a Detective. While as an investigator my assigned duties were but not limited to: being on call, dealing with the public, processing crime scenes, follow up investigations for all type felony cases, which included Interview and Interrogation of witnesses and suspects. File Affidavits for Search Warrants, and Statements of facts in Support of a Criminal Complaint. Served as a witness for the State in Magistrate Court, Grand Jury Hearings, and District Courts.
Have experience in wiretaps and filing Title 3 affidavits. Have knowledge and experience developing link analysis charts, Telephone toll analysis charts, and pen registers. Have participated in surveillance stakeouts.
Transferred as a Crime Analyst for the Las Cruces Police Department in November of 1991. Duties included the collection and analysis of raw data and individual(s) or group(s) who are suspected of being involved in specifically named criminal activity. Collect raw data and intelligence. Serve as the principal channel for the receipt and dissemination of law enforcement intelligence within the department. Conduct research and analysis of crime trends and patterns. Provide timely analytical support.
August 2000 to December 2001 Las Cruces Public Schools, School Security:
Job Duties: Ensure the safety of the student body at the High School level; enforce the rules and guidelines within the Las Cruces Public Schools.
February 2000 to July 2001 Third Judicial District Surveillance Officer
Job Duties: Enforce the conditions of probation within the Adult Drug Court Program as set forth by the District Court. Do random curfew checks, urinalysis, and Breathalyzer checks on Drug Court Clients.
January 2002 to August Private Investigator for HUB Enterprises located at 221 Southpark, Lafayette Louisiana
Job Duties: To conduct investigations and surveillance of Workman’s Compensation recipients. These duties include but are not limited to: Stationary and mobile surveillance, photographs, video taped surveillance, report writing, background research, workman compensation investigations and interviews for insurance companies.
